We typically begin our recruitment cycles with a case workshop in coordination with a corporate partner. There, you will learn some basic techniques for tackling case interviews.
Please refer to our recruitment page if interested.
Case interviews are a foreign concept to most undergraduate students to the point that very few UConsulting members had case experience prior to their UConsulting case interview. While daunting and seemingly abstract, these interviews represent condensed models of our client engagements and act as an important element in our understanding of each applicant’s problem solving and communication abilities. As such, we will provide all applicants with suitable study materials prior to coffee chats. In the meantime, we recommend doing some online research to understand the basic flow of the interview, how to approach both qualitative and quantitative cases, and how to synthesize your findings.
Running through practice cases and mental math problems will always benefit your progress. Moreover, should you advance to the final round, we will be pairing you up with a UConsulting “Buddy,” who will help you with mock cases and answer any questions you may have.
